ABOUT US
I’m proudly South African, with a deep passion for health, movement, and understanding what the human body is truly capable of. I’ve always been fascinated by how we move, how we adapt, and how much stronger and more resilient we can become when movement is approached with intention and care. That curiosity led me to study Human Movement Science and Psychology, and later to pursue further training and qualifications within the movement and exercise field.
My journey began long before 20Active Studios became what it is today.
20Active was originally created as 20Active Personal Training while I was working as a personal trainer early in my career. At the time, my goal was simple: to make exercise more enjoyable, accessible, and sustainable for everyday life. I created an online platform where clients could purchase training programmes, and even launched a very early (and very amateur!) YouTube channel to reach and support more people beyond the gym floor.
As my career evolved, so did 20Active. I continued my studies, gained experience across different movement environments, and eventually opened my own Biokinetic practice. For a while, 20Active grew quiet as I dedicated my time and energy to building my Biokinetics career.
Once my practice was established, I felt a strong pull to create something alongside it — a space where people could enjoy group classes, community, and support outside of a clinical environment. I knew it was time to reintroduce 20Active — this time as 20Active Studios.
A movement studio shaped by years of learning, experience, and a deep respect for the body. What started as online training grew into a space for Pilates-based movement, functional strength, and classes that support different stages of life, including senior-friendly options.
Every class is thoughtfully structured, guided with care, and rooted in the belief that movement should support you — not exhaust or overwhelm you.
At its heart, 20Active Studios is about community, consistency, and care. It’s a space for people who want to move with intention, build strength over time, and reconnect with their bodies in a way that feels empowering and sustainable.
Today, 20Active Studios continues to grow as a supportive, inclusive community where movement is intentional, empowering, and adaptable to every stage of life.
I truly believe that your body is the one place you have to live in. Taking care of it doesn’t have to be extreme — it just has to be intentional.
This is more than a studio — it’s the continuation of a journey rooted in movement, care, and community.
